Eric Frangenheim
Commencing his education career as a history teacher in 1970, Eric has held the positions of Head of History, Assistant Principal, and Education Adviser for Gifted and Talented students, and also coordinated the gifted program at a private school. Since 1995, Eric has worked as an education consultant, author, public speaker and publisher. He presents regular workshops on thinking skills and cooperative learning in schools, universities, Government departments and corporate businesses.
He is a director of ITC Publications LLC, a co-author of the Innovative Teachers’ Companion and a Grade 9 history text, and the author of Reflections on Classroom Thinking Strategies and The Reconciliation of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Eric presented on critical thinking skills at the ASCD conference in New Orleans, March 2008 and will present at the ASCD conference in Washington, October 2009. |

Gerard Alford
Gerard began his working life as an Economist in the banking industry.
After several years of overseas travel, he joined the teaching profession in 1995. He has taught Economics, Legal Studies, Accounting, Geography and Social Studies for over 17 years and was a boarding housemaster for 7 years. He has also held the positions of Head of Faculty (1995-2006), Director of Studies (acting) and Assistant Dean – Staff (2002-2006).
In 2002, Gerard completed his Masters of Education focusing on teacher pedagogy with his dissertation on the use of cognitive strategies and their effectiveness in achieving productive pedagogies. He is the co-author and editor of the Innovative Teachers’ Companion and is a regular presenter of workshops and conferences on critical and creative thinking, collaborative thinking tools and teacher coaching programs. |

Paul Herbert
Upon Graduation Paul combined his two great passions , the Back Country and Education, by becoming an Outdoor Education Instructor. Having experienced some of North America’s best Wilderness areas Paul entered the classroom in 1993. He has taught High School Geography, History, Physical Education and Life Skills and held the positions of Head of Faculty in Geography and Health.
In 2007 Paul co-founded ITC Publications LLC, a company devoted to supporting teaching and learning in the 21st Century. He has worked as an education consultant, author and presenter. He facilitates regular workshops on thinking skills and cooperative learning in schools and universities. Paul presented on critical thinking skills at the ASCD conference in New Orleans, March 2008.
He is a director of ITC Publications LLC, a co-author of the Innovative Teachers’ Companion and a regular contributor to Newsletters and publications devoted to thinking and learning. |
